Overview:

¨ The duties of the Food & Beverage manager is to support the F&B Director in all facets including service staff, beverage inventory, ordering and vendor preference. The Food & Beverage Manager purpose is to ensure that the level of service provided to the guest is highly individualized and that each guest feels that their comfort and convenience are the principal concerns of The Gasparilla Inn & Club.

Essential Job Functions:

¨ Organizes and conducts pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts, etc.

¨ Ensures that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean, well stocked and organized. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and schedules needed maintenance and repair.

¨ Circulates throughout the restaurant facilities to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.

¨ Directs ordering amounts, timing of orders, receiving, invoice settlement and accuracy, storage temperatures and areas.

¨ Continually researches vendor possibilities, pricing, service, and evaluates vendor relationships to the benefit of the facility.

¨ Greets guests at tables to ensure complete customer satisfaction attention to guest needs.

¨ Ensures established cash handling procedures are utilized to accurately charge customers.

¨ Creates revenue forecasts and reports. Monitors restaurant budget.

¨ Oversees daily restaurant activities to include: serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service and general clerical/cashier duties.

¨ Implements policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage department including compliance of company standards relating to quality of products and services.

¨ Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.

¨ Assists the Director of Food and Beverage with budget development and cost analysis.

¨ Assists in the marketing of the Dining Room, both internal and external.

¨ Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

¨ Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Food and Beverage Supervisor, Floor Manager, Host, Server and Cashier.

¨ Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new employee. Develops ongoing training programs.

¨ Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.

¨ Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.

¨ Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.

¨ Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Director.

¨ Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

¨ Attends staff meetings.

¨ Assist the Director of Food & Beverage

¨ Attend designated meetings, menu and wine tasting.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
