Job description

Food Service Assistant opening. Work hours noon to 8:30pm, full-time (40hrs) weekend rotation (2weekends on, 1 weekend off). Healthcare benefits available.

· Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing

· Follow planned menus, recipes and meal schedules

· Provide assistance in the dietary department as directed and assigned

· Assist in serving meals timely in accordance with Federal Regulations

· Use approved portion controls established by the Registered Dietician

· Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established Policy and procedures

· Clean and sanitize work tables, refrigerators, freezer etc.

· Sweep and mop floors as assigned

· Clean and sanitize work area and equipment, follow all applicable food regulatory rules and procedures.

· Carry out garbage

· Set up meal trays

· Prepare meals according to menu, recipe and production sheets as directed by supervisor

· Check trays before distribution

· Perform dishwashing cleaning procedures. Ensure utensils are readily available for the next meal.

· Remove food carts from Dining areas and take to dish room

· Prepare and deliver snacks

· Perform other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.07 per hour
