Job description
The Food Service Worker helps provide Head Start children with meals that are nutritional and appropriate to their needs in an emotionally warm and caring environment. The Food Service Worker helps Education staff in providing nutritional education to the children.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in quantity cooking and volume buying.- Knowledge of nutritional needs of preschool children.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with and relate to parents, children, and staff.
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable means of personal transportation.
- High School Diploma or GED
New Hire successfully completing the initial 4 weeks of employment will receive $250 and after 3 months another $250 and then $500 at 6 months.
