Once you pass the test, you will have a job waiting for you with the Prestige Care Family, with NEW wage increase starting at $20.61-$25.61/hour+!
Enrolling Now for the following CNA Apprenticeship Training Program:
This registered year-long Apprenticeship will provide state-required training, clinical hours, on-the-job training, and regular career coach support to allow you to master the skills you need in your first year as a CNA and to pursue further healthcare career pathways.
Recruitment for the cohort beginning March 3, 2023 is underway and will be placed in the Cottage Grove Area.
Below is a schedule for the upcoming classes, once you are accepted and enrolled:
- 3/1 – Apprentices have onboarded with the facility
- Friday 3/3 – CNA Apprenticeship Orientation at Coast Fork
- 3/6 -3/24 – Class, Labs & Professional Development (combination of in-person and online)
- 3/27-3/31 – Clinicals at Coast Fork
- 4/3-4/7 – Clinicals at Coast Fork
- 4/10-4/13– Training to prepare for OSBN exam
- 4/14 – Start working on the floor as a NA

The attributes required of a Nursing Assistant Candidate is to provide care and concern for those who may be unable to physically or mentally care for themselves. They must possess patience, empathy and unwavering compassion for people. Practice and “hands-on” supervised training. After completion of the Nursing Assistant Class, you will be eligible for employment consideration to be hired as a Nursing Assistant, you must be able to provide legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States, employment references, and be at least 18 years of age.
The primary responsibility of a student that is selected for the NA Class is to acquire the knowledge, skills and certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA) by participation in the facility’s planned educational program. This program consists of classroom and clinical instructions. Upon completion of the NA program a student is prepared to take the state examination in order to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Able to attend all class and clinical sessions
- Be willing to undergo a criminal background.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
