Our continued growth has led to an opening for a newly created position within our company for a Fund Accountant!

What you will be doing

• Responsible for all aspects of general ledger for several real estate investment partnerships
• Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations
• Produce quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosures
• Assist with annual audits and tax preparation
• Prepare and distribute partner capital calls and distribution notifications
• Various ad-hoc requests and projects
• Assist with loan compliance for underlying assets

The ideal candidate for this position

• Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar
• 2-4 years of experience in financial accounting/administration, audit, tax or finance function for alternative investment companies (preferably private equity)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent quantitative/analytical and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Technology proficiency is essential as the candidate would leverage a number of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with calculations such as fund level returns, partner IRR, carried interest, and waterfalls a plus
• Knowledge of SunGard’s Investran software strongly preferred
