Candidate requirements:

• Work in a team environment at a fast pace
• Be dependable and accountable to show up to work on time
• Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/3 to 5 days-per-week, alternating every other weekend including overtime
• Work effectively in hot (120) and cold temperatures for long periods of time
• High School Graduate or GED Good verbal and written communication skills
• Careful and methodical around molten metal
• Able to stay focused and calm in stressful environments
• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, and lifting of heavy objects up to 85 lbs. for long periods of time
• Able to wear required PPE
• Experience as a Conveyance Operator
• Works well under pressure
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Operate heavy equipment in congested areas with limited space

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of furnaces with flux and skimming
• Monitor charging equipment
• Record Scrap and Dross transactions
• Add hardeners to molten bath to reach chemistry targets
• Clean and maintain furnace, scrap bay, and dross bunkers
• Lead and train conveyance operators
