Position Responsibilities:
- Performs repairs, maintenance, upgrades, installments and configurations of all gaming devices including, but not limited to: gaming terminals, kiosks, and table games with computer interfaces. Utilizes all available tools and utilities for solving user issues.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of the proper configuration, operation and maintenance of all gaming equipment for Point Place Casino.
- Escalates calls that require additional or different levels of support to other team members, Technicians, support departments, or third party vendors as needed. Follows up to ensure resolution.
- Maintains accurate documentation of configurations and other related data to better facilitate future needs of the customer.
- Works with the operations team to ensure responsive 7-by-24 support of gaming systems and devices.
- Demonstrates required level of understanding for on-floor gaming devices and works toward increasing this understanding with gained experience; assists as a technical resource for gaming and regulatory departments, with guidance as necessary from Senior Level Gaming Technician.
- Demonstrates basic understanding of the physical layout of all network and cabling systems and works towards increasing this knowledge with gained experience, in order to facilitate troubleshooting of device communications.
- Develops an awareness of repeat or chronic problems and strives to resolve the core issue.
- Establishes and maintains proper record keeping and documentation on all equipment.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on all equipment per the Gaming Technician maintenance schedule, with assistance from Senior Level Gaming Technician as necessary.
Position Minimum Qualifications:
- An Associate degree in Computer Science or other related technical field and/or minimum equivalent experience of three years working in an IT environment.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, and basic networking concepts. Must be comfortable supporting command line controls and various operating systems.
- Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting of electronics; must be able to diagnose and analyze technical problems.
- Comfortable using power and hand tools such as crimpers, drills, soldering irons, saws, screwdrivers, multi meters and wrenches.
- Must be able to work in a highly regulated environment.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must interface well with team members & customers, good interpersonal skills required.
- Flexibility and willingness to work any shift – position is a 24X7 coverage support position. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a valid NYS Drivers License.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to or over 100 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
