Job description
Responsibilities: Performs assigned landscaping, horticulture and grounds keeping activities to include landscaping, lawn and plant care, pest control, irrigation, grounds maintenance and related functions. Work schedule will vary, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- A minimum of 1 years employment experience in grounds keeping/ landscaping preferred.
- Texas State Herbicide Pesticide license is preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of hedge trimmers, weed eaters, pole saws, tillers and blowers.
- Must possess a current and valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
Salaries and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience. Part time employees are eligible for the following benefits:
- Membership for employee, spouse and eligible dependents at Mayborn Campus Center facility

- Voluntary contributions to UMHB's 403(b) retirement savings program (no university match is available)
- Insurance and other benefits are not available for this position
