1st shift hours 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday

Purpose/Function:

  • Performs complex and day-to-day repairs on distribution center equipment, automated machinery, and robotic equipment.
  • Designs electrical circuits, diagnoses problems with electrical and electronic components, and troubleshoots a variety of mechanical problems to support Inbound, Production and Outbound functions in high volume fast paced environment.
  • Performing the necessary corrective action and bringing complex problems to attention of Facilities Manager.

Major Essential Functions

Mechanical:

  • Maintain, repair and rebuild distribution center equipment and machines, such as lift trucks, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, automated and robotic equipment.
  • Maintain, repair and rebuild any drive component such as motors, gear reducers, or variable speed drives.
  • Maintain, repair and rebuild packaging and kitting equipment.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of welding, cutting and grinding.
  • Ability to construct, disassemble and repair storage equipment (i.e. pallet racking, CFR racking and shelving.

Pneumatics:

  • 1. Maintain, repair and rebuild pneumatic systems including pneumatic cylinders, direction valves, solenoid valves or speed adjusters.
  • 2. Maintain, repair and rebuild compressed air systems.
  • 3. Has knowledge of all related hose and fittings.
  • 4. Reads and interprets pneumatic schematics.

Hydraulics:

  • 1. Maintain, repair and rebuild hydraulic equipment and systems.
  • 2. Understands all hydraulic components.
  • 3. Reads and interprets hydraulic schematics.

Electrical:

  • 1. Basic Electrical / Electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • 2. Ability to troubleshoot 277/480-volt three phase systems.
  • 3. Ability to troubleshoot DC voltage.
  • 4. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blue prints.
  • 5. Understands basics of circuit breakers, fuses, starters, or control circuitry.
  • 6. Uses electrical test equipment to test voltage, amperage, continuity, or ohms.
  • 7. Troubleshoots electrical systems such as breakers, relays, timers, or solenoids.
  • 8. Troubleshoots electro-pneumatic and electro-hydraulic systems.
  • 9. Troubleshoots any type of electric motor.
  • 10.Troubleshoots lighting systems and replaces lamps and ballast.
  • 11.Ability to install electrical conduit, wiring and devices.

Plumbing:

  • 1. Ability to perform general plumbing skills.
  • 2. Maintain, repair and rebuild pipes, valves, fittings and other fixtures.
  • 3. Maintain, repair and drains systems.
  • 4. Clean out drains and obstructions in water and sewers systems with manual and powered equipment.
  • 5. Maintain, repair and rebuild hot water circulating systems.
  • 6. Maintain, repair and rebuild water heaters and boilers.

Emergency Systems:

  • 1. Understands ESFR fire suppression system.
  • 2. Understands FM200 fire suppression system.
  • 3. Ability to troubleshoot and inspect fire suppression systems.
  • 4. Ability to perform routine inspections and testing on fire systems.
  • 5. Understands back-up generators systems.
  • 6. Ability to troubleshoot and inspect generator systems.

General Maintenance Repairs:

  • 1. Basic carpentry skills.
  • 2. Constructs, disassembles and rebuilds modular office cubicles.
  • 3. Maintain, repair and replace floor and carpet tile.
  • 4. Maintain, repair and rebuild various hardware, including doors locks, door closures, etc.
  • 5. Paint interior and exterior of facility and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
