Job title: Laminator Assistant

1. Job Overview

As Laminator Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing of materials that are specified on the work order to be produced on the machine. You will also be required to follow and write policy for safety and work practices. Communication, good attitude, and good attendance are also required. A Laminator Assistant will work hand and hand with the Operator in the production process.

• Laminate Printed material for a flexible packaging facility specializing in produce packaging.
• Handle adhesives and other food grade chemicals that require PPE.
• Transporting of raw materials and finished materials using a fork lift.
• Will be working around moving parts, nip rollers, and ovens.
• Basic Computer skills for data entry and training purposes.
• Report to Shift Supervisor and laminator operator.

Job title: Slitter Assistant

1. Job Overview

Assist the slitting machine operation in preparing material for shipment. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Must be able to read and understand a job ticket for pertinent information
• Follows food safety guidelines
• Cut cores to correct length per specification
• Prepare winder shafts with cores in necessary
• Splice rolls together
• Position roll of material to be slit at the unwind (rear of machine)
• Carry finished rolls to bench, remove shaft, rebuild shaft and place on slitter
• Move rolls with defects to slitting area
• Stack rolls properly and neatly

• Wrap rolls, weigh if necessary and place roll on pallet with corrugated cardboard for cushion

Job Title: Ink Technician

1. Job Overview

Work with inks, adhesives and coatings to match colors and customer specifications to produce quality products on the Rotogravure.

• * Job setup for batch ink mixing
• * Create ink room color standards
• * Return, store and use thin (used) inks
• * Formulate color matches for customer approvals (proofs)
• * Ability to color match at press site
• * Mix adhesives and coatings
• * Conduct computerized color control
• * Lead 5-S effort, member of department PIT team, provide support troubleshooting and customer meetings, as required
• * Work closely with Art/Spec departments on issues involving customer art pre-press and approvals
• * Meet and communicate with suppliers to resolve technical issues for inks and adhesives
• * Support trials from technical perspective

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
