Meineke Car Care is hiring entry level Automotive Technicians & Mechanics.

JOB SUMMARY:

Entry Level is Defined, by Meineke, as less than 2 years.

The Entry Level Mechanic is a positive, energetic, eager-to-learn team player that provides 100% customer satisfaction. This position is an entry-level position that provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to build a promising career in the automotive service industry. All Technician Trainees will receive one-on-one training with an Experienced Technician Trainer to learn duties, processes and responsibilities of the Entry Level Technician position. Trainees will also be offered after hour, offsite training that is paid for as well.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather and document vehicle information including: VIN#, mileage, license plate #, and any visible damage
• Drive customer vehicles into shop
• Lift vehicle onto hoists safely
• Inspect vehicles (Performed by a Tablet)
• Perform Oil Changes on most makes and models
• Dismount and mount tires
• Repair tires
• Balance tires
• Torque lugnuts to correct specifications
• Resetting Tire Pressure Sensors ; Oil Lights
• Simple Brake Jobs
• Some Fluid Flushes
• Bulb, Wiper Blade, and Air Filter Replacements
• Clean shop, showroom, restrooms, and waiting room
• Take out trash
• Follow Meineke safety policies
• Other duties as assigned by store manager or assistant manager

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management
• Ability to read and write English
• Represents one's self and Meineke in a professional manner
• Demonstrates a commitment of high quality service to internal and external customers

Experience:

Some experience required

Education:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

The ability to safely lift of up to 75 pounds to chest level

Bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching and any other activity normally associated with an Automotive Mechanic position

Working Conditions:

Varying work hours, Mon-Sat

Some overtime may be required.

Workshop environment, with heavy physical requirements
