AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to be based in Houston, TX.

_This position is expected to begin in December 2022._

Responsibilities may include:
+ Develop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping

+ Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.

+ Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components

+ Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract, analyze and provide GIS data for flood risk projects

+ Support natural disasters incidents when they occur

+ Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation

+ May direct the work of Level I/II GIS Specialists. Responsibilities could include overall project or task management and quality review

+ Independently executes and delivers GIS projects of moderate to significant scope and complexity

+ Automating workflows with Python

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree In Geography or a related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Due to the nature of projects this position will support, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with Python is preferred

+ HEC-RAS is preferred

+ Four (4) years of experience in ArcGIS is preferred
