The Kearns Improvement District (KID) is seeking a well-qualified GIS Specialist I. We invite you to be a part of one of the finest, and well-run utility companies in the State of Utah. An example of the duties for the needed GIS Specialist are:

Works with District staff in building upon the existing GIS/GPS/Mapping System utilizing ESRI, ArcGIS and related software.

· Developing apps, dashboards and reports using ArcGIS online to build workflows for various district programs and educating the decision makers and the public on items such as the Revised Lead and Copper Rule.

· Developing an interactive map to index all the Districts utility easements.

· Digitizing historical data associated with various facilities and projects.

· Synchronizing databases and utilizing Microsoft Access.

· Researching plats and property descriptions for data input and verification.

· Creating, reviewing, and managing IT and GIS background details, including data-base management, networking, hardware configuration, etc.

· Performing technical engineering duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A. Graduation from college with an associate degree in database operations, computer science, geography or related field; AND

B. Two (2) years of work experience performing above or related duties; OR

C. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION RANGE

$26.53 - $33.90 depending on experience.
