BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB

The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Pre-Sales Regional Principal works with the Insight Account Executive (AE), Services Account Executive (SAE), and Multi-cloud Account Managers (MAM) to manage and grow GCP sales opportunities within an assigned region and/or market(s). The GSE will focus on achieving sales and profit goals through verbal and written interaction with the clients, account planning, partner teaming and account team engagement, as well as solution development. This position leverages personal GCP technical knowledge as well as available internal/external organizational resources to develop and propose solutions to clients. The GSE is considered a technical expert that will obtain the certifications necessary to support required areas of expertise. The incumbent skills are directed at the technical knowledge, solution selling strategies and best practices of how to position GCP-specific technologies to clients.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Provide support on GCP sales opportunities brought forward by Insight AEs and SAEs. Provide engagement throughout the sales process, including: Discovery, client Q&A, project scope identification, signed contractual agreement, and project delivery.
  • Consult with internal/external clients on GCP related products and services. Build strong relationships with local Insight teams.
  • Work with AE/SAEs in assessing customer needs via conference calls, and email.
  • Develop and present technically valid solutions to the end-user by utilizing GCP specific configuration tools. Conduct technology demonstrations and white boarding sessions with clients.
  • Understand client’s business objectives and technical needs in order to identify scope of the project and deduce the solution and delivery.
  • Perform required research and investigation to identify and create thorough, accurate technical solution proposals based on client requirements.
  • Attend key GCP events and training sessions.
  • Understand GCP licensing and onboarding processes and procedures.
  • Maintain professional relationships with AEs/SAEs, Google, and clients.
  • Represents Insight in a professional and business-like manner and communicates effectively with Insight associates and stakeholders.

  • Some travel required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or related selling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three-plus years of experience in positions related to Google field sales and technical solutions support.
  • Advanced level of understanding in Cloud technologies.
  • Preferred: Completion of Google technical/sales training & certification in relevant areas of technology.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents, including client Requests for Proposal.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write effectively and professionally using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to clients, top management and/or boards of directors.

Specific

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general, technical procedures, or regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively position, present and sell GCP solutions. Must be able articulate technical solutions in “scaled-down” manner to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to demo GCP products / solutions.
  • Ability to utilize GCP technical tools related to sales proposal creation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of the position are those of an office environment working with phones, computers and standard office equipment. Light to moderate lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,519.58 - $151,241.35 per year
