Description:
We seek a self-managing Graphic Designer that will conceptualize, and design graphics, visual processes, anchor graphics and other visual information for our organization. This role will require the ability to translate written information into concise, stylish, and impactful visual representations of the intended information.
Requirements:
Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail in tone, visual formatting, and grammar of communications- Solid experience with Graphics Creation in Adobe or Affinity, along with experience creating PowerPoint infographics
- Able to plan ahead, work independently and collaboratively, coordinate people and activities related to projects
- High degree of self-management, delivering highest quality work
- Strong multi-tasker, with the ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong and clear verbal and written communicator
- Able to maintain professional composure when working with immediate deadlines
- A keen eye for visual presentation of all forms of written communication
- Resourceful and creative problem solver. Able to anticipate obstacles and develop contingency plans.
- Create graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
- Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior leadership team and groups across departments to prepare high level executive materials
- Draft and manage the development of presentations using established templates and guidelines
- Adhere to presentation workflow and processes while suggesting ideas for improvement
- Design products may include (but not limited to) poster boards, presentations, webpage design, etc
- Researching, developing, designing, and preparing original creative products/images that enhance the organization’s communications efforts
- Planning and designing visual information material including printed publications, multimedia, video, photography, exhibits, logos, signs, certificates, etc
- Developing concepts, layouts and designs through frequent coordination with the government customer to create visual products
- Preparing final designs and arranging for printing or electronic reproduction of completed products
- Preparing illustrations, diagrams, charts, and PowerPoint slides for use in presentations, web-based information, pamphlets, and other communications media
- Designing, developing, and/or enhancing websites as required
Qualifications:
2+ Years as a graphics designer- Degree in graphics design is a plus, but not required
- Proven capability in Adobe or Affinity Design products (with portfolio)
- Proficiency with creating/editing PowerPoint presentations
