Job Description:

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will lead members in an energizing workout, demonstrating proper technique and targeting specific muscle groups, all while maintaining a positive workout environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time.
• Prepare appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
• Provide adequate warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down.
• Instruct participants on effective workout methods, explain proper techniques, demonstrate exercises, identify different muscle groups, and teach appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.
• Assist attendees, answer questions, and maintain a positive exercise experience.
• Program the class to accommodate a variety of fitness levels, including providing modifications.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous Group Fitness Instructor experience.
• CPR certified.
• Certified Instructor (ACE, AFAA) or equivalent (additional specialty/certifications preferred).
• Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles.
• Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm.
• Choreography and music skills.
• Ability to be professional and motivate class participants.
• Active certifications in Zumba, Body Pump, Yoga, HIIT, Boot Camp, Cardio Hiit, Hip-Hop
