JOBE Transitional Living Program, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, is designed to support Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) and/or homeless youth, ages 18-25 years old, who have experienced the foster care system and/or have struggled with homelessness. JOBE TLP provides an opportunity for young men and women to thrive in a safe and stable environment while they pursue their educational and vocational dreams. A
JOBE is seeking an individual that has a passion for working with at risk youth and a desire to make a difference in those that are a part of the program.

Responsibilities:
- Meet clients immediate physical needs such as food and clothing.
- Completes intake procedures, maintains client records and activity reports.
- Implements rules and policies governing program operations and assists clients with problems and questions.
- Ensures clients comply with rules of the program
- Assist with homework and tutoring as needed.
- Transport and supervise clients as needed.
- Schedules outings, special events and plans and organizes special projects.
- Instructs and trains volunteers in methods and procedures.
- Prepares and implements activities for clients participating in team programs.
- Provide crisis intervention, case management, intakes, referrals, and other program functions.
- Communicate with other program staff to facilitate service delivery, and improvements of program services.
Qualifications:
- Completion of two years of college.
- One to two years of related experience.
- Experience in trauma informed care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour

- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:

- Group Home: 1 year (Preferred)
- Social services: 1 year (Preferred)
- working with youth: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
