JOBE Transitional Living Program, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, is designed to support Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) and/or homeless youth, ages 18-25 years old, who have experienced the foster care system and/or have struggled with homelessness. JOBE TLP provides an opportunity for young men and women to thrive in a safe and stable environment while they pursue their educational and vocational dreams. A

Responsibilities:

• Meet clients immediate physical needs such as food and clothing.
• Completes intake procedures, maintains client records and activity reports.
• Implements rules and policies governing program operations and assists clients with problems and questions.
• Ensures clients comply with rules of the program
• Assist with homework and tutoring as needed.
• Transport and supervise clients as needed.
• Schedules outings, special events and plans and organizes special projects.
• Instructs and trains volunteers in methods and procedures.
• Prepares and implements activities for clients participating in team programs.
• Provide crisis intervention, case management, intakes, referrals, and other program functions.
• Communicate with other program staff to facilitate service delivery, and improvements of program services.

Qualifications:

• Completion of two years of college.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Experience in trauma informed care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

• Associate (Preferred)

• Group Home: 1 year (Preferred)
• Social services: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
