ReStore Associate Position

Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate cash register and perform opening and closing procedures

· Maintain the store in a clean and orderly manner

· Receive donations according to acceptability standards

· Help load and unload merchandise

· Assist in pricing and merchandising inventory as it is received

· Assist customers, Assistant ReStore Manager and ReStore Director in all aspects of daily store functions

· Provide excellent customer service with customers, donors in person and over the phone

· Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Friendly and helpful demeanor
• Positive attitude in high stress situations
• Very customer oriented
• Precise accuracy with money counting
• Answer ReStore phone
• Answer general questions, advice and recommendations to customer
• Keep area around service center neat and clean, organize perimeter departments as time allows
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Participate in and support agency activities as requested by management
• Regular and reliable attendance required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 Years of Customer Service
• Previous Cashier Experience Preferred
• High School Equivilent
• Physical ability to complete work in the store/warehouse, even during extremely hot or cold weather
• Must pass background check

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to stand, squat and bend

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Moderate lifting required
