Job Duties:

  • Oversees the management of membership records and files, including financial assistance administration, collections, membership data entry, payroll deduction memberships, holds, tracking gift certificates and trades, Silver & Fit and Renew Active registrations, troubleshooting, and serves as backup for Membership Director.
  • Maintains branch business procedures in accordance with Y and general accounting practices; monitors, maintains and periodically reports cash records and procedures; collection of returned checks and returned bank drafts; manages payables, check requests and purchase orders for branch.
  • Processes financial assistance applications and prepares branch scholarship reports.
  • Manages collections for programs, provides oversight to program registration; manages returned checks and program enrollment reporting.
  • Provides administrative support for branch Community Support Campaign, which may include processing request information, thank you letters, invoices and collection of funds.
  • May prepare reports, minutes and location preparation for monthly branch board and committee meetings.
  • Administrative duties including managing the purchase of office supplies and equipment, supervising the maintenance of office equipment, general branch correspondence, assisting with program promotion.
  • Compiles statistical information for reports as needed.
  • Conducts routine membership audits.
  • Assists at front desk as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Prior office experience (2-3 years preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency (including Windows-based systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with standard business software.
  • Must display high degree of professionalism and customer service
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
