HANDWELDER
1st Shift, 6am-2pm
2nd Shift, 2pm-10pm
3rd Shift, 10pm-6am
$20.00-22.00/hour (plus
$5/hr 2nd shift premium
or
$3/hr 3rd shift premium
)

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Welding Supervisor and the Welding Lead. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
WELDER: Performs duties associated with all areas of welding parts for production.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
- Pull and weld parts to print or specifications.
- Weld to and follow all Work Instructions. (WI)
- Count and label products correctly.
- Rework as assigned, to include grinding.
- Removal of non-conforming material at the end of the shift.
- Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous MIG welding experience.
- Capable of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to consistently and on daily basis as required to safely; stand, twist, bend, stoop, reach, kneel.
- Must be able to correctly and safely lift up to 53# with or without the assistance of a lift or device.
- Must be able to wear the required OSHA PPE which may include: XXX respirator.
- Highly dependable, motivated and self-driven with excellent attendance.
- Ability to follow, understand and strictly abide by the Work Instructions. (WI)
- High level of attention to detail is a must.
- Able to use handheld tools correctly and safely.
- Able to read and write legible as defined by company standards.
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products and comply with quality, environmental and safety policies procedures.
- Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of JOST’S Basic Processes.
- Must pass pre-established requirements for company visual and penetration standards as determined by supervision.
- Must be able to accurately and correctly read and comprehend blueprints.
