Hard Truth Distilling Co. is the largest destination craft distillery in Indiana, set on a 325-acre, wooded campus featuring the Hard Truth distillery and rackhouse, a large restaurant, a tours and tastings center, and an expansive terraced outdoor recreational area with a stage, yard games, and more. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy walking and ATV tours, leisurely strolls around the pond, hearty meals, fantastic craft beer and spirits, live music, special events, and festivals.

The Restaurant at Hard Truth is looking to hire a Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Effectively assist in managing and leading the front of house while assisting in any kitchen needs. Assisting in monitoring, training, and developing employees. Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members.
  • Establish weekly asset scheduling and training that allows for a smooth service flow at all stations. Assist in training and developing Big Woods employees.
  • Assist in inventory, ordering, rotation, monitoring, and accepting orders for product. Minimize waste.
  • Maintain and enforce cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Assure that bar, floors, tables, and all front-of-house is cleaned and sanitized.
  • Control cash and other receipts.
  • Must be proficient in each area of the front-of-house. Assure that guests are greeted and are being issued timely and correct service. Assist with any customer service needs.
  • Other tasks and duties when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: 1 year minimum in a supervisory capacity of a restaurant.
  • Able to lift minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Able to work on feet in a kitchen and restaurant environment for extended periods of time.
