Hardware Product Managers define product vision and strategy by leveraging a deep understanding of the customer needs and competitive market. This opportunity will allow you to identify investment opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive the product roadmap. You’ll define product requirements and partner with stakeholders to achieve vision and defined goals for a specific product(s), from definition and planning through development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of cloud industry signals to identify customers’ unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of a feature.
  • Engage with internal, external partners and other key stakeholders to gather input and garner support for product vision, strategy, and roadmap to define a product. Drive and track key results, success criteria and performance metrics.
  • Take in new inputs and adapt as necessary during Product development.
  • Partners with stakeholders to connect multiple design factors to desired functionality and product vision.
  • Ensure product performance by collecting performance metrics to derive insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve product/feature development, iteration, and implementation.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree preferred in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, hardware engineering, or other related degrees.
    • OR bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a hardware engineering related field

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $92,900 - $151,800.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
