The Upper Lake Unified School District is recruiting for a Varsity Football Coach for Upper Lake High
School.

General Description
The coaching position requires demonstrated knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school athletes; demonstrated knowledge of and ability to adhere to and keep abreast of NFHS, CIF-North Coast Section, and Coastal Mountain
Conference League rules.
The selected individual will be responsible for organizing team practices and maintaining supervision of team members at all times, including during practice, travel and game competitions; prior experience in the sport is required. The ideal candidate will be committed to the school community and understand the student dynamic; will genuinely care about the athletes they coach; will be able to communicate their ideas to their athletes effectively; and will hold their athletes to a high standard for academics and sportsmanship.
If the selected candidate is credentialed to teach at the high school level, there is a possibility for a teaching contract. This requires the individual to be highly motivated, and student-centered and be able to provide a quality and rigorous education in their authorized area.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Teaching Credential: Any Single Subject or Multiple Subject Credential (English
Credential preferred).

Additional Criteria
● Must be able to communicate effectively with the Athletic Director
● Must be able to plan and execute a practice
● Must have knowledge of rules and strategies of the sport
● Must be able to demonstrate good sportsmanship
● Must be able to perform other duties related to coaching such as but not limited to: effective communication with parents and staff; development of a positive working relationship with booster clubs; appropriate supervision of students.
● Must have the ability to work with inexperienced football players
● Must have time availability to commit to a summer program and the duration of the football season
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,026.00 - $107,827.00 per year
