Scott County Hospital, located in Scott City, KS, has an immediate opening for a Health Information Management Coordinator. This position is non-exempt 40 hour per week, M-F 8am-5pm. The HIM Coordinator coordinates all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the Health Information Management department and the processing of patient health records in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices. Strong emphasis on Medical Records Coding Management, including supervision and training of coding staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement and conformation to applicable guidelines and regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certification as RHIT or RHIA required.

Pre-employment physical assessment, drug screen, and TB skin test required.
