Duties
This position is located at the Medical Detachment in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in the administration of comprehensive Joint Forces Headquarters-State (JFHQ-S) Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene (OH/IH) Programs.

- The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current American Heart Association or American Red Cross certificate (card) in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider Course and must be able to meet Council for Accreditation in (cont.)
- Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) and DOEHRS-HC Courses requirements from a DoD approved source (e.g., US Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (USACHPPM) Course or US Navy Course).

Knowledge to provide guidance and assistance on a variety of healthcare policies/programs, e.g. admission policies and facility resources/programs, medical evaluation/physical board procedures, alcohol and drug rehabilitation policies/programs, line of duty investigation procedures, dental plan, and Veterans Administration sponsored programs.
2. Knowledge of functions of various computer software and information processing.
3. Skilled in the medical, hearing, and vision screening process, with the ability to explain the purpose and results to employees, recording and interpreting results, and determining need for referral.
4. Knowledge of medical standards, concepts, procedures, policies, and practices to increase medical readiness.
5. Knowledge to advise and conduct administrative management of medical programs.
