Position Overview:The Compensation Analyst has a key role in the attraction and retention of our employees by researching job requirements and evaluating job positions to ensure Emerus is competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits. As part of the People Experience Team, the Compensation Analyst will work as a partner to both our team and Emerus leadership to identify outcomes that balance employee and fiscal needs.
Essential Job Functions:- Conduct competitive analyses ranging from ad-hoc to complex proposals for clinical employees as well as administrative staff.
- Conduct detailed analyses to ensure our pay programs are competitive within each market while maintaining internal equity.
- Implement compensation programs that maintain consistency with local market conditions, company-wide financial goals, business strategy and our people strategy.
- Play a key role in compensation administration processes including merit increase, bonus and equity using Workday.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends & patterns in datasets and interpret, synthesize, and communicate the meaning of the data being presented for compensation strategies.
- Participate in industry compensation surveys and maintain PayFactor survey database.
- Assess Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption status for jobs in the US.
- Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
- Analyzes and manages special pay programs and shift incentives.
- Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
- Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
- Conducts data and cost analyses as needed
- Maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Understand competitive environment for total employee benefits package in relationship to pay in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company’s existing benefits or policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Two to Four years of experience as a compensation analyst required. Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday and PayFactors preferred.
