River Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in partnership with Century Rehabilitation, is seeking a personable and outgoing Marketing and Admissions Coordinator to coordinate all admissions and transfers to the facility. They will work closely with the nursing and social services staff relating to the needs of the prospective resident. In addition, outbound marketing and census development are an essential part of the job duties.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years of healthcare experience, preferably in long term care. LVNs are encourage to apply!

Job details/Responsibilities:

  • Establish a network of referral sources to ensures the census and program goals of the facility are achieved and maintained.
  • Demonstrates growth in the profession through community involvement and continuing education.
  • Explores and utilizes available community resources applicable to residential health care facility programs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to carry out the admissions process for residents.
  • Responsible for verbal and written inquiries for information. Ensures the appropriate information is sent out regarding facility services to inquiries.
  • Thoroughly reviews and processes inquiry at time of consideration for placement.
  • Conducts a pre-admission interview with the prospective resident and responsible party.
  • Supervise and review the collection of admission documents, ensure completion and forward to the appropriate departments as necessary.
  • Perform interviews of residents/guardians and obtain required information and signatures.
  • Assist in the orientation program for residents/personnel.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for transfers.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
  • Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately and assists in resolving the matter in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses a Baccalaureate or Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • One to two years of experience in long term care setting preferred.
  • Previous Long Term Care Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
  • Excellent people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in public speaking situations.
  • Ability to work effectively with all members of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Highly motivated and creative individual with an ability to work independently.
  • Local travel required. Reliable transportation required.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
