An established single-specialty management group located in the Mid-Atlantic region is now searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their award-winning team.

This single-specialty management group is focused in gastroenterology and has recently celebrated more than two decades of successful business. The newly created Mid-Atlantic Market includes a variety of private practice offices, ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based surgery centers throughout the Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Delaware regions. Due to rapid growth, this organization is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to help support the growth the department.

Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Senior Accountant will oversee the daily accounting functions for the mid-Atlantic division. The Senior Accountant will perform financial and statutory reporting, along with local tax return preparation and filing. The Senior Accountant will assist the Accounting Manager by coordinating department projects, acting as the Finance team contact, oversight of treasury management functions, preparing financial statements, analyze monthly financials, assist with audits, trains new personnel, and serves as a key resource for the financial team.

Requirements Include:

• BA or BS degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience required
• CPS designation preferred
• Prior healthcare experience or experience with bad debt allowance calculations
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

The Senior Accountant will be located in the DMV region and will need to be able to frequent the Silver Spring office locations at least 2-3 times per week. Many people enjoy this region as it provides access to leading industries and a very enjoyable 4-season climate.
