Heavy Assembler II

6 Week Contract

Monday through Friday - 40 Hours

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SUMMARY

Diversified mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly or sub-assembly of units that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, fitting and aligning to ordinary tolerances. Requires print reading and basic math skills as well as the ability to use common hand tools and operate assembly machines. Works from drawings or specifications. May inspect and test completed units. May rotate stations in work cell. Work involves frequent handling of moderate to heavy components and may include walking or standing most of the time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assembly of Electro-Mechanical main assemblies and sub assemblies related to equipment.

2. Red-Line fabrication and assembly drawings and BOM for corrections needed.

3. Complete assembly tasks to tolerances and dimensions specified.

4. Safely handle all material, large or small, needed to complete tasks.

5. Fabricate, package, and crate assemblies for shipment.

6. Perform tasks at customer locations efficiently and safely.

7. Keep work area clean, with safety issues in mind.

8. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. Able to read and understand assembly drawings.

2. Able to drill, tap and modify parts as needed to complete the assembly.

3. Must be able to use setup gages and indicators to hold tolerance.

4. Must operate power tools effectively and safely.

5. Able to operate fork truck and other related equipment needed for material handling. 6. Basic rigging skills needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require local and long distance travel. Position may require evening and weekend hours. The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work
