TCI is looking for Level 2 and 3 Diesel Technicians to perform minor component repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance for our fleet of trucks.
Level 2 Diesel Technicians: 2 to 4 years’ experience in related field
Diagnose/Troubleshoot Basic issues, review with supervisor for corrective action plan, Vehicle component lubrication and replacement, Electrical system repairs, Cooling system maintenance, Road test to confirm repairs, Brake maintenance, Tire and/or wheel replacement, Regular, predictable, full attendance is required for this position, All employees required to follow Federal,State,Local regulatory and environmental laws, employee may perform other work-related duties.
Level 3 Diesel Technicians: 4+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
You will generally assist in the repair and diagnosis of major components or remove/replace major components of various truck and trailer equipment at the direction of Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor. Expectations include the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little or no supervision: Clutches, PTO Systems, Electric Systems, Hydraulic/ Air Brake Systems, Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems, Instruments and Gauges, and Preventive Maintenance Service.
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to grow in position, through a series of self-managed online training and Hands on, training will be ongoing and required during employment with TCI.
TCI Requirements and Qualifications:
- Tool programs available
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Trade school, mechanical course and or hands on experience
- Multiple Technician levels available from entry level to master
- Self-motivated & Leadership skills a plus
- Able to perform all facets of mechanical and technical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read and write legibly in English.
- Basic math skills required (add,subtract,divide,multiply) as required by position.
- Vocational or Technical certification preferred.
- Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required
- A valid driver's license is required
- Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
- Maintain work area appearance and safety.
