Astrobotic Technology, Inc. is a space robotics company that seeks to make space accessible to the world. The company has grown rapidly, signing fifteen commercial customers representing seven countries for its lunar payload delivery service, and winning a $79.5 million NASA contract to fly scientific instruments aboard Peregrine, and again in June by winning a $199.5 million contract to deliver NASA’s water-hunting rover, VIPER, to the south pole of the Moon. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for computer systems, hardware, or software.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote locations.
  • Provide support for printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals.
  • May train or instruct staff on new technologies.
  • Provide on-site and remote onboarding support for new employees, including initial purchase of computer hardware and peripherals and workstation setup.
  • Support facility infrastructure and flex space controls with respect to specified computer hardware requirements.
  • Install all required software on devices and enroll devices under security enforced requirements.
  • Support and troubleshoot any issues with software, drivers, and firmware and identify hardware issues on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS devices and provide support for iOS and Android issues related to Microsoft applications on these mobile devices as well.
  • Offboards devices, backs up and archives all user data, and securely wipes devices before putting them back in service.
  • Can apply knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and judgment to resolve more difficult issues.
  • Creating manuals for technical training.
  • Using feedback from customers to improve problem-solving techniques and customer service.
  • Follow documented workflow and established standards in a secure environment.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Escalate to the appropriate technical resources for more complex issues.
  • Participate as an integral part of the current team, exhibiting ownership, follow through, initiative, awareness and effective communication with employees, peers, and management.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT Support Technician or similar position.
  • Knowledge of information systems and IT operations, such as Windows and Linux operating systems components, navigation tools, common hardware, and software related concepts.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and incident management skills.
  • Good listening, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into understandable terms for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to stay current with common computer operations concepts and tools for solving technical issues.
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired:

  • Associate degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study
  • Linux experience
  • Printer troubleshooting repair experience
