We are growing and are looking for a full-time Health Information Management Scanning Clerk/ Record Analyst to join our hospital family. This position contributes to ensuring medical records are received, maintained, completed, stored and disclosed in accordance with HIPAA and all other applicable state and federal regulations.

Competitive Pay.

Position to start immediately.

Hours are generally 8am-4pm, Monday – Friday with some flexibility.

Must Have Abilities: * * Great amount of attention to detail is an absolute requirement.

• Able to efficiently move from task to task and ability to communicate tactfully and cooperatively with staff of all hospital departments and the neighboring Clinic.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.

Education & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years related job experience.
• Associates Degree in Health Information Technology or related field is desired.
• Basic knowledge of federal and state laws regarding the maintenance, disclosure and integrity of paper and electronic medical records.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with the contents of a legal health record.
