OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Retrieves all medical records from patient care units, whether inpatient, outpatient, etc. Ensuresrecords are available for vendor pickup as scheduled. Utilizes/chart tracks records delivered to
vendor.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procures discharged medical records from inpatient/outpatient units.Chart tracks records procured in established database.
Performs follow-up as needed with units to procure missing records.
Runs database reports as required from chart tracking system.
Prepares records according to established procedures for vendor pickup.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Two (2) years experience in a HIS Department.
- One (1) year computer experience to include data entry, preferably HBOC Star experience, and demonstrated proficiency in a Windows environment.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Good communication skills.
