Job description
Provides professional nursing care to the organization’s clients as prescribed by the physician, and/or requested by the client/family, and in compliance with the state’s Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirements, and the organization’s policies and procedures. The RN is accountable for the client assessment, care planning, therapeutic intervention, and achievement of client outcomes. Provides functional support to Home Healthcare Aides and LPNs as needed.Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Active registration for Registered Nurse - Board of Nursing, State of Iowa or Illinois
2. An Illinois or Iowa (whichever is not currently held) Registered Nurse – Board of Nursing, license must be applied for within 30 days of hire and secured within 6 months of hire.
3. Associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
4. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; must obtain within 6 years of hire, effective 04/01/2012.
5. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a professional acute care nurse preferred.
6. Home healthcare experience preferred.
7. Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation to and from work site are required.
8. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
9. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
