REPORTS TO: MANAGER, ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY CENTER
POSITION SUMMARY: Support customers in deployment of Sunnen equipment, installation, setup, and training of both new and used equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
Represent the company as an industry expert in the development, application, and trouble- shooting of precision bore finishing processes and technology.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions
1. With support of senior technicians and management, perform install and commission new precision bore finishing equipment and technology at domestic and international customer locations. Perform minor equipment repairs within scope of authorization and training.
2. Assist customers on the proper use of precision bore finishing equipment and technology with support of senior technicians.
3. Develop processes for new precision bore finishing applications. Perform all steps necessary to setup and run the precision bore finishing process, including but not limited to tooling selection, machine programming, machine setup, and final documentation.
4. Develop and perform inter-company training programs. Training primarily completed in support of field sales staff and customer service staff.
5. Provide support to sales and marketing including but not limited to trade Show Support, and equipment demonstrations.
6. Other Duties as assigned, keep a clean and organized workspace, assist with IOM and systems documentation, Operate machine shop equipment to perform minor machine work alterations to tooling and fixturing.
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk and hear. The employee is often required to reach with hands and arms.
2. The employee must regularly exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at 20 feet or more as well as 20 inches or less.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
Mostly normal office conditions with minimal time period of temperature variations, exposure to chemicals, awkward or confining space, electrical/moving parts, loud noise, fumes, solvents, acids, glues or dust and oils.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Requires a minimum of a technical or vocational school graduate or a high school diploma with 1-3 or more years of related experience equivalent to a related technical or vocational school education.
Experience: One to three years of related experience to qualify for the position. One to three years of overall experience in the discipline to become proficient in the requirements of the position.
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
1. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
2. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form.
3. Ability to read and interpret GD&T parameters defining geometry and surface finish.

Telephone, copier, fax, personal computer/terminal, common application software, microscopes, voltmeters, load cells, strip charts, comparator, dynamometer and a variety of precision measuring instruments
License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
1. Valid US Driver’s License
2. US Passport/Ability to travel internationally
3. Completed NFPA, Arc Flash and LOTO training
