Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, MA

About Us: The Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester is the first hospice residence in Central Massachusetts. We are a 10-bed home designed from the ground up, specifically for hospice residency. Our clinical staff and volunteers provide medical, emotional, practical and spiritual care for the terminally-ill individuals of all ages and care needs.

CNA hours: Per diem

Hospice CNA Position Summary:

• Our CNAs provide personal care and light housekeeping for patients under the direction of a licensed clinician.
• CNAs follow an established Plan of Care following standard precautions
• Documentation of care provided in a timely manner
• Carries out duties and responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies excellent customer service in a caring and professional way
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient/family/caregiver information at all times

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current Massachusetts CNA certification required
• Understands, and has experience with, the process of end of life care
• Successful completion of the required training program which includes a minimum of 75 hours training, competency testing, written skills and 12 hours in-service per year (pro-rated the first year.
• Ability to make observations of changes in a patient’s status.
• Ability to reach and write English and document in a medical chart
• Understanding of and commitment to the Hospice philosophy
• Ability to work with a variety of people and as a member of a team
