Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.We are currently recruiting for a House Lead within our Residential program. This position works with individuals with Developmental Disabilities encouraging them to live independent and productive lives.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job ResponsibilitiesPlans, implements, and updates individualized service plans (ISP) utilizing a person-centered approach that is focused on independent living and community inclusion and participation. Assists individuals by providing support, general supervision, and training for skills development in a variety of settings to include individual’s homes and community-based settingsServe as a lead to Community Services Associate II and to the Community Services Associate I position in the general day to day operation of the group home.Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Monday through Friday a combination of morning shifts (6am-2pm or 7am-3pm) and an evening shift (12noon to 8pm) with some flexibility. May require one weekend shift per month.This position offers differentials for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

Skills and QualificationsMust have the ability to work in a group home, home-like settingMust be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Possess the ability to develop an individual services plan that is person centered and reflects the goals and choices of the individual in regard to the services they want to receive from the program.Possess knowledge of person centered principles, practices and techniques related to services provision for adults with developmental disabilities.Work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver’s license is required. Bachelor's Degree in a human service field required.DMV record must be submitted with application..
