Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, public areas and all back-of-house areas in the hotel, and all other Léal Vineyard properties. Strong attention to detail and time management are essential to this position. The Housekeeper position will come in contact with guests and will need to have positive guest interactions. Housekeeping Associates play an important role for our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

Essential Job Functions

• Acknowledges and greets all guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.

• Reviews daily inventory of rooms, arrivals and departures.

• Reviews daily inventory of supplies needed to complete the assignments for the day.

• Cleaning and maintaining appearance of all areas in the hotel including: dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen area, lobby and common areas.

• Deep cleaning of assigned areas or company vehicles

• Restocking housekeeping stations

• Delivering service items to guest’s rooms upon request from Management

• Servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures

• Replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies

• Practice safe working habits and take appropriate breaks and lunch periods in a timely manner

• Perform quality cleaning to meet required standards within set time limits.

• Comply with all hotel safety guidelines.

• Pick up ground litter around hotel or whatever visible.

• Being a team player is essential

• Other projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma

• Must have a valid California License

• Must be able to use time tracking software

• Previous housekeeping required

Physical Requirements

This position demands good physical and mental health. The housekeeper will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Other physical requirements include:

• Ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking for long periods of time

• Close and distance vision

• Identify and distinguish colors

• Frequent walking and standing with some sitting at times

• Frequently lifts/carries up to 15 lbs

• Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs

• Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills

• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly

Working Conditions

May be indoor or outdoor setting

Varied weather conditions are expected

Will work near moving or mechanical parts

May work on high or precarious places

Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
