The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position is the liaison with corporate leaders to design, develop and implement solutions aligned with business objectives. The HRBP will proactively identify and solve people related challenges. Supported by a matrix team of HR subject matter experts from HR Operations (Talent Acquisition/Employment Practices/Compliance), Benefits, Compensation and Learning & Development, the HRBP will manage workforce planning and life cycle associate needs related to hiring, total rewards, associate development, engagement, and performance management. The HRBP will create and support initiatives to establish AMC as an employer of choice while complying with employment law and maintain appropriate staffing levels.

What you will be doing:

  • First contact for respective Theatre Support Center (TSC) leaders for all HR related concerns
  • Liaison with leaders to design, develop and implement people solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Analyze trends and data in partnership with HR Operations Managers, Benefits, Compensation, and Learning & Development SMEs to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Provide high-level HR policy guidance and interpretation to associates and leaders
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law requirements reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Oversight and management of Performance Management processes, procedures, and systems
  • Identify training and individual executive coaching needs
  • Manage workforce planning and life cycle associate needs related to hiring, turnover, associate development, performance management, TSC job changes and succession planning
  • Work closely with management and associates to improve work relationships, associate engagement, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Support broader HR team with projects and initiatives as needed
What we need from you:
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing one or more Human Resource functions as a primary role; or 3+ years of AMC General Manager and/or AMC Senior Manager experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to all functional areas of HR
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to interpret, support and enforce AMC policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ability to influence decision making, self-motivate, work well independently and cohesively with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to conduct difficult conversations
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain discretion handling sensitive/confidential information
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
  • SHRM-CP or PHR; or ability to obtain certification within 18 months
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements
