Job description
The HR Specialist will perform various HR tasks and assist in HR administrative duties such as: recruitment activities tracking and activity, employee compensation tracking and payroll, time and attendance tracking, performance review processing, recruitment, retention activities, track and maintain personnel policies and assist with regulatory compliance in order to maximize the strategic use of WJA’s human resources while promoting and adhering to the WJA Core Values.
- Maintain and assist with implementing personnel policies and procedures
- Maintains and distributes employee handbook on company-wide policies and procedures
- Assists HR Director to ensure state and federal HR compliance issues are met
- Assists HR Director with hiring and separation procedures and scheduling of interviews
- Updates compensation and performance review program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary
- Coordinates and maintains the new hire setup process for all company-wide new hires
- Assists in the coordination of career pathing program, employee relations counseling, and outplacement counseling
- Scheduled and may perform exit interviews for all company-wide separations
- Updates and maintains department records and reports. Updates and maintains company organization charts and prepares documentation for New Hire Orientation.
- Maintains HR related files and records of all company-wide staff.
