UI Health Ventures is seeking a detail oriented person for a part-time Human Resources Associate. This role will be primarily responsible for payroll administration, HRIS administration, as well as items outlined below.

Position Summary

The Human Resources associate will assist in organizing, managing and executing all aspects of the benefits, wage and salary, compensation, employment, recruitment, and employee relations functions for 50-150 employees. The position also provides input into organizational policies and procedures for employee related needs as well as adherence to regulatory requirements.
Position Responsibilities

HR Program Administration & Operations

  • Gather and disseminate information and provide support for implementation of various HR initiatives as directed.
  • Ensures approved processes are followed; resolves problems using prescribed remedies; explains routine operations/processes to staff; produces reports; may provide supervision of staff.
  • Responds to questions from employees, supervisors and others that require independent judgement.

Talent Management & Engagement

  • Support recruitment activities, including conducting credential, criminal background and reference checks.
  • Track performance reviews to assure completion.
  • May assist supervisors and employees with performance management tools and resources.

Advising/Communication

  • Advise on human resource regulations, practices, policies and procedures; makes decisions and resolves issues within established guidelines and directs to the appropriate resource.
  • Distribute appropriate communication materials to employees and leadership within unit/department.
  • Support and communicate HR updates and initiatives to departmental staff and leadership.

Compliance with Policies, Laws and Regulations

  • Review reports, track results and make recommendations.
  • Record and document outcomes.
  • Supports organizational compliance activities.
  • Tracks compliance/training requirements.

Strategic Planning

  • Assist with implementation of HR practices/policies and programs within departments or unit.
  • May assist with promoting, advocating and communicating changes within a unit.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum experience is typically one-year relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of state and federal regulations affecting human resources.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service for all employee populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Commitment to and ability to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in the work or academic environment.
Desired Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification and/or a commitment to the HR field through training and development.
