Overview:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responds to departmental phone calls.
  • Receives and triages office mail.
  • Drafts, coordinates production and distributes quarterly newsletter.
  • Displays and/or files state labor law posters.
  • Processes and/or assists with processing employee Change of Status (COS) forms.
  • Responsible for all HR and filing and file organization, purging, storage, etc.
  • Responsible for corporate filing.
  • Responsible for processing e-verifications and purging I-9 forms.
  • Assist with employee file audits.
  • Assist with employee references.
  • Responsible for new hire communications.
  • Assist with New Hire orientations.
  • Assist with preparation of human resource reports such as new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Responsible for office open and close duties.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies and restocking office products.
  • Responsible for the preparing and sending emails to field staff.
  • Assist with Admin Assistant duties as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Administrative training required.
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
