The Human Resources Assistant acts as a liaison between HR Professionals and the organization by ensuring that all administrative duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and Objectives.


Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years administrative experience in a Human Resources environment required.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism required.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:

  • Must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
