Human Resources Coordinator - Aloft and Element

We are seeking a hands-on, energetic person to oversee all aspects of HR functions at our new Aloft and Element hotel located in the Cortex district of St. Louis, MO. This person will be responsible for onboarding, associate recognition, tracking performance reviews, training an other associate celebrations. This person will champion all HR initiatives with enthusiasm and professionalism.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assists with recruiting, screening and interview process.
• Enters new hire information and on-board new hires.
• Conducts new hire orientation classes.
• Facilitates group and individual training.
• Supports Department Supervisors to ensure 60-day and Annual Reviews are being completed timely.
• Assists with employee's insurance enrollment.
• Spearheads the planning of associate celebrations: Birthdays, Anniversaries, Holidays, Employee Appreciation, Int'l Housekeeping Week, etc.
• Champions the Milestone Anniversary program for 5-year and 10-year associates.
• Explains and promotes the company's Employee Assistance Program PAS.
• Assists in the preparation of reports to provide HR data

The Ideal Candidate:

• Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations
• Previous experience in an HR position
• Previous hotel experience is a plus
