Job description
As a member of our Human Resources Division, you will be a primary point of contact for answering Human Resources questions and addressing employee needs. You'll work closely with senior leaders to help drive the company's success through the implementation of best practice HR strategies. Ideal candidates will have experience working around confidential and sensitive information. Flexibility is crucial, as we are looking for someone who can jump from task to task quickly without missing a beat.
We are looking for an individual who will work out of our San Antonio, TX office. Suitable candidates should already live in the greater San Antonio, TX area.
The Ideal Match
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including strong attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or related field required
- Prior experience in Employee Relations, Performance Management, Benefits, Onboarding, Policy Implementation and Employment Law compliance
- Working knowledge of Federal, California, and Texas employment laws and polices (ie. FMLA, CFRA, ADAAA, FLSA, EEO, AAP, etc.)
- Must pass a pre-employment background investigation, and drug and nicotine screening
Preferred System Experience
- HRIS Systems such as Kronos or UKG Ready
- Signature Platforms such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign
- Microsoft Suite such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and OneDrive
- Smartsheet
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Employee Relations: Involvement in a variety of Employee Relations issues, including but not limited to: Disciplinary hearings, terminations, and policy compliance and reporting
- Associate Helpdesk Support: Serve as subject matter expert for associates on company policies and general HR matters. Examples include questions regarding compensation/benefits, FMLA/CFRA, paternity leave, and verifications of employment.
- Data Reporting: Aggregating and analyzing data from multiple information sources
- Benefits Administration: Open enrollment, life events, discrepancy reports, partner/vendor communications, etc.
- Compensation Agreements: Draft and manage compensation agreements and ensure administrative processing of changes is carried out.
- Other duties as required: We work in a dynamic environment; flexibility from associates is required. Examples may include but are not limited to: Providing support during New-Hire Onboarding, researching HR and legal issues for senior leadership, and conducting annual EEOC surveys.
