Job Title: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Be a part of a growing, reputable Client-Centered Team making an impact in the community! FoundCare, Inc. is a non-profit health care provider with convenient locations in Palm Beach County. FoundCare's mission is to fulfill unmet healthcare and social service needs of individuals and families. In order to accomplish this mission, FoundCare operates a Federally Qualified Health Center offering pediatric and adult primary care, chronic disease management, infusion, behavioral health counseling, laboratory work, X-rays, and dentistry. Our main site operates an on-site pharmacy.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
FoundCare, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead its HR team. This role requires a "hands-on" manager who will work with a team of two other full-time professionals to complete all HR functions of a growing community health center in Palm Beach County. This will include but not limited to Recruitment, Onboarding, New Employee Orientation, and Benefits Management, handling FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, Employee Relations, EEOC, and payroll.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
- Represents the company for any unemployment claims
- Facilitates and provides training (including orientation) to the workforce
- Reports, maintains and monitors all worker compensation case files and follow-up on open cases
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary personnel, including students
- Writes and places employment advertisements
- Process COBRA, FMLA and Worker Comp Claims.
- Handles employee relations counseling (to include unsatisfactory job performance) and exit interviewing when necessary.
- Maintains employee personnel files
- Responds to all EEOC complaints, requests for information and reporting requirements
- Conducts New-Hire Orientation.
- Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations
- Complies with all FoundCare policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in leading a Human Resources Department
- Experience with ADP is preferred. Must have excellent people skills and be an effective communicator in writing and in person
- Ability to orally communicate effectively with others without the use of an interpreter
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing using the English languages, with or without the use of auxiliary aids or services
- Ability to review, understand, and apply concepts presented in training programs, conferences, and/or professional literature
- Clear understanding that FoundCare’s Prevention program provides information on educating individuals on safe sex practices which would include but not limited to, exposure to explicit language, explicit printed material, and descriptions of explicit sexual activities as part of the agency’s mission in the prevention and transmission of the HIV disease
- Preferred experience in a community health center environment; ability to relate to professionals along the full health care continuum from health care providers to medical assistants and clerical staff
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to endure short, intermittent, and/or long periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties. Accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, e.g. pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboard, telephone, etc.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 25 pounds or less over a distance of 100 yards
- Ability to move, stack, and store materials and supplies in storage area, including lifting materials and placing on shelves at levels 5’ 6” and lower.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and three to five years of HR generalist experience
- Experience in supervising other human resources staff, preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Possess excellent interpersonal skill including an Outgoing Personality
- Ability to work independently
- Valid Florida driver's license, automobile insurance and reliable automobile
