We are seeking an outgoing, problem solving, team-oriented HR professional to serve as the Human Resources Manager, business partner, and point of contact for most aspects of HR including recruiting, performance management and coaching, on/off-boarding, training, policy implementation, benefits communication, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures. This role also contributes to overall office management by supervising a receptionist and ensuring that necessary, safe workplace resources are in place including adequate support for top business leaders. The HR Manager is key to promoting company values and a great work environment, assessing, and supporting business needs, and ensuring the appropriate implementation of company strategy and objectives. This position is based in our Las Vegas office and will service Las Vegas, California, and other remote staff offices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the consistent application and practice of HR policies and programs. Balance responsibilities as an advocate for employees and a business partner to management in helping grow and protect the business.
  • Provide support and guidance for top local business leaders to aid in their workforce decisions and interactions.
  • Partner with corporate recruiting resources to drive local talent acquisition efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and cultivate positive employee experiences through events, communications and recognition programs.
  • Respond to employee issues and formulate approaches for corrective action and improvement based on situational analysis, company policy and governmental mandates; coach employees and leaders, craft warnings, process separations, conduct exit interviews and administer performance appraisals.
  • Manage administrative HR duties such as handling employee inquiries, developing job documentation, onboarding new employees, and assisting with employee surveys.
  • Assist those responsible for enterprise-wide program administration (benefits, compensation, etc.) by providing local program expertise and execution; addressing questions, resolve concerns, educating employees, etc.
  • Conduct and help develop employee training and employee development opportunities.
  • Participate in the maintenance and update of HR information system records, compile reports and contribute to accurate, consistent retention of all employee records and files while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • Assist in certain office management activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4-6 years of Human Resources generalist or related experience
  • Requires proficiency in MS Office; benefits experience and ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
  • Some leadership experience preferred though this position does not yet have direct reports, it heavily influences and coaches other leaders directionally and procedurally
  • Experience in on/off-boarding, performance management, HR/Payroll information systems, managing HR projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication along with time management and organization skills and the ability to maintain the upmost confidentiality
  • Dependable, professional, resourceful approach with a strong work ethic is a must
  • Strong collaboration and internal customer service orientation; ability to manage strong personalities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions while leading and coaching others as circumstances warrant
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment and labor law
