GeneralResponsibilities:

Responsible for the leadership and management of all functions of the Human Resources department, in accordance with Shaner and Franchise standards. This positon with leadershp from the Area Director of People & Culture implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective associates/team members. Other responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training the team; planning, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications (Essential):

· High school graduate, some college

· Minimum 2 years prior experience in Human Resources functions.

· Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

· Ability to provide legible communication. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

· Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations and use required measurement tools.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Experience / knowledge of: State and Federal employment laws; workers’ compensation; unemployment compensation; FMLA; recruitment; hiring; and training.

Qualifications (Desired):

· Bachelors level degree and/or HR Certification.

· Previous training in the hospitality industry.

· Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.

· Previous guest relations training.

Skills:

· Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

· Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult employees and/or situations.

· Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure of tense/confrontational situations.

· Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of employee and guest information.

· Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures with all hotel staff and follow up with corrections when needed.

· Ability to ascertain hotel training needs and provide suchtraining.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,473.89 - $112,918.29 per year
