The Human Resources (HR) Section Leader works in close connection with the business and provides (HR) support. The HR Section Leader performs human resources related duties primarily supporting field-based teammates. This position may carry out all transactional and strategic responsibilities related to HR in some or all functional areas: employee relations, training, talent acquisition, compensation, affirmative action, and employee engagement. The HR Section Leader has a customer/client focus, builds business partnerships, and engages with teammates at all levels of the organization and provides thought leadership to the plant or distribution center leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Carries out administrative work involving the human resources functions and maintains related records.
- Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems.
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
- Uses analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources preferred) or similar work experience
- At least 3-5 years of direct Human Resources Generalist experience (experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions
- Master’s in Human Resources preferred
- Plant human resources experience preferred
