Job description
JOB FOCUS:
Maintain Existing and new infrastructures and equipment in a sound and safe manner. Perform
routine and preventative repair and maintenance on same.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include but not limited to the following:
Read and comprehend repair and maintenance manuals, blueprints and schematics and be
able to follow the diagnostic and repair procedures specified.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual maintenance activities in a safe
and timely manner.
Safely perform work, including adherence to AWG policies such as lock-out tag-out and
confined space entry.
Repair, maintain, spec and install heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration
equipment – all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and any other systems and
subsystems on same with the use of hand tools, power tools, multi-meters and other
electrical based diagnostic or PC based tools. Must be able to use rules, calipers,
micrometers, gauges and other measuring devices/instruments to determine dimensional or
capacity requirements. Possess knowledge and competency in residential, commercial,
industrial and Freon based HVAC systems.
Repair, maintain, spec and install gassing equipment and systems used in banana rooms.
Perform troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance in an accurate, sound and timely manner
as determined by management.
Will operate welding, brazing, soldering equipment and torch/plasma cutting equipment in
the repair of equipment in new fabrication applications.
Keep proper records and documentation as set forth by local, state and federal laws and
company policies and procedures. Perform continuing education/licensing as required by
same.
Read and follow AWG Halocarbon Refrigerant Management program.
Complete Job Repair Orders properly and accurately.
Assist in proper inventory count and control.
Safety: Promote a safe work environment ensuring that all department employees are adhering to
OSHA and company safety policies. Accident prevention must be considered an inseparable part
of everyday operations. Set safety goals annually as part of the career/personal development plan
and develop action plans to achieve those goals.

COMPETENCIES:
Local, State and Federal licenses as required – knowledge of local, state and federal
guidelines, accepted practices, procedures and documentation.
Universal EPA certification required
Ability to comprehend and execute both verbal and written instructions.
Possess problem solving and solution based thought processes.
Be able to perform ordinary and repetitive tasks.
Possess the mathematical skills necessary to perform your job correctly.
Ability to work will with others, as well as on your own.
The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to come up with logical answers. It
involves deciding if an answer makes sense.
Ability to become certified to operate required equipment and processes in a safe and
effective manner as determined by company policies and procedures.
The ability to lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds.
Regular and punctual attendance at assigned location is an essential function of the position.
Ability to speak, read and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective
communication with supervisors, employees, and customers, based on the assumption that such
individuals can only speak and understand English.
Ability to identify and sequence numbers correctly.
Ability to hear and respond to voices and voice communication systems.
Ability to see details at close range and at a distance.
Ability to think, reason and concentrate.
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
Industrial repair experience.
Plumbing, electrical, manufacturing machinery and metal work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operating fork lifts.
High and low voltage installations electrical experience.
Demonstrate ability to work in a team based environment, to communicate individually and in
groups
Must be willing to learn maintenance software program utilized in facility
